and so far this week has pretty much SUCKED!

First of all, my sweet family bought me a new oven for Mother’s day. It was supposed to be ready for pick up on Monday at 1pm. We drive over to HH Gregg to pick it up… no oven. It’ll be ready at 3pm they tell us. Guess what? It isn’t there at 3 either. The damn thing finally gets to the store after 5 freaking pm. I told David that they need to give us free delivery since we had already made a trip there to get it and it wasn’t there when they said it would be. A minor major argument then ensues. David is just too nice of a guy. I call him a wuss because he is afraid to make them do something for us since they screwed up our pick up time. After thirty (or more) minutes of fighting nice, calm persuasion in our household he FINALLY asks them for free delivery. And guess what… they did it! Now was that hard?! Honestly. But, they didn’t deliver it till Tuesday after 4pm… oh well. At that point I was OVER the whole thing, so I was just glad to be able to cook on something again. And I love my new oven :)

Yesterday was supposed to be a better day- not so much. I emailed Madison’s teachers to let them know she would be out sick again. Her homeroom teacher emails me back and says “Don’t be surprised if the truancy officer comes to your home since she has missed so many days”. WTF?! So I took her to the DR so they could give me a note telling that stupid school that I wasn’t lying and the girl IS sick. Guess what?! She had pneumonia!!! So I’m glad I took her- who knows… maybe I should actually thank the school for being jerks. Nah.. bastards. Me and my smart ass marched right into the office with the doctor’s excuse and threw it placed it nicely in the attendance clerks face.

So, after $116 worth of meds, Madison is on the mend today. Thank God. Poor baby was very sick :(

Oh and as if pneumonia wasn’t enough to deal with yesterday (and the damn school drama), Makenzie was sitting on the picnic table outside on our patio last night and fell BETWEEN the seat and the table… backwards! Poor thing busted her head on the concrete before Dave or I could get to her :( I was so afraid she had really hurt something, but she did fine the rest of the night. I checked on her like a maniac after she went to bed for the night.

Oh yeah, and in the middle of all this, the high school calls to let me know that my pain in the ass sweet boy Dakota, has detention yet again for interrupting class. They have my freaking phone on speed dial over there it seems and I always know it’s about him and not Megan.

Oh and speaking of Megan. She has been something else this week too. I had wanted to go visit my Grandma who is going to be 91 in a few weeks. Megan has been complaining all week about having to go see her. Well now it’s not going to happen because of Madison’s sickness- so Megan decides it’s okay to talk to me again. Why do teenagers only think life revolves around them?!

So that pretty much sums up my week… oh wait, no it doesn’t because IT’S ONLY WEDNESDAY!! It has to get better, right? I mean it just HAS to.

I almost forgot to tell you all my funny for the week! So while I was waiting in David’s truck for him and Devin to get their haircut (Kenzie was asleep in her carseat, thus the reason I was waiting in the truck) I had to PEE sooooo bad! I sat there for a few minutes and contemplated what to do. I didn’t want to leave her in the truck alone, and there were some woods close, but they weren’t very private. So… I pulled one of Makenzie’s diapers out of the diaper bag, jumped in the backseat of the truck, dropped shorts and undies, and PEED right there in the truck in that diaper! ;) I hope you guys get a cackle out of that one. I thought it was pretty ingenious myself! LOL

I’m sorry you’re having a rough week. I cannot believe you peed in a diaper, though! You are such a nut!

Sorry you are having a rough week, too! I hope it improves.

I’m still cracking up about the diaper, though. I’d so do that, too.

Okay – I’m sorry your week has sucked – but the funny for the week made me laugh so hard I almost needed a diaper myself!! Perhaps you should keep a depends in the glovebox just for these types of situations.
