ISS or in other words, In School Suspension. That is what Dakota has for the next 3 days thanks to him skipping a detention he got last week for being rude to his teacher. The other two days are for being disrespectful again to the same teacher, and for calling a fellow classmate a name (supposedly jokingly). I really hate getting calls from the lovely administrator at LHS. I always know who it is and I always know who they are calling about. “Dakota isn’t a bad kid” (to quote the admin)- “he just needs to learn boundaries of when joking is appropriate and when it is not”. He tries to be the class clown and make everyone laugh…(sound like anyone you know? ahem…) He *thinks* he’s being funny but his teacher deems it disrespectful. I totally agree with her. I can only hope he soon grows up and matures into the sweet, caring, and appropriately funny young man I know he can be. Until that happens, I guess LHS will have my cell number on speed dial and a semi-permanent seat for Dakota in ISS.

OMG…that sounds like me. I used to get in soooo much trouble at school (go figure, right!) I was also voted my senior year “teacher’s worst nightmare” and “class clown” My parents must have been soooo proud! Dont worry, he’ll get over it (or maybe just tired of ISS and detention) LOL
