Dakota does it again~

If you’ve been reading my blog for long, you know my oldest son, Dakota, is my most challenging child to date. He always is the one to try stupid things – and yesterday was no exception. I was going through his room for dirty laundry since I had asked him half a million times to bring it to the laundry room and I found a mostly smoked package of Marlboro and a lighter.
IDIOT!

After all his lung problems from birth and YEARS of asthma because of it- he decided smoking is a good idea?! And to make me even more infuriated- I am reminded that he has had a horrible cough lately and even woke me up at 4 am a few mornings ago to help him get a nebulizer treatment because he must be getting “sick”… little did I know it was all due to smoking!

So yesterday when he came home from school we had a long talk about why we don’t smoke. We talked about how all his grandparents smoked and how both his grandfathers died from smoking related illnesses. He said he just did it to look cool. We of course threw away his stash and I searched him today to see if he had more… he was clean. He has totally ruined my trust for him yet again-

He is going to be the death of me …
