Have you ever just had one of THOSE days?
Well, I have and TODAY is one of them! My mother is coming down tomorrow for a visit and I always feel like I have to clean the house spotless (yes with five kids) for her. I don’t know why I feel that way really, but I do. I always try to impress her by looking all put together- even if things are chaotic behind the scenes. I must be trying to overcome some childhood experience- I guess that’s another post after lots of therapy. LOL
Anyway- I have been TRYING to clean the house all day. I swear I live with little magical creatures that go behind me undoing everything I try to do. I clean the kitchen then move to the living room and all of a sudden go back to the kitchen and all the kitchen magnets are on the floor, pots and pans are pulled out, etc. So I pick that up, then go back to the living room where I had just finished picking up all the five bazillion toys that are in there, and low and behold – they have just magically reappeared on the floor again… plus a few extra.
Well today I caught those little magical creatures on film! Do they look familiar? ;0)
I’m sure one day when all my kids are grown up and moved out, my house WILL be spotless and I will miss these everyday messes. So today I’m going to pause and take time to celebrate the messes and those that make them. I love them so much! :)

I have those same magical creatures here too.
I have them, too! I clean when my mom comes over as well. But my mom is a neat freak. She even opens my microwave to make sure it is clean!!!
